02 – Hardware, Interfaces, and Power Planning

This chapter is an orientation to RT-STACK hardware. The KiCad schematic and PCB are the authoritative electrical reference; do not use this page as a pinout or as a substitute for inspecting the exact revision you are building.

Functional interfaces

Area Design capability
Fuel 12 injector channels for general-purpose GDI/PFI architecture, with high-voltage drive support and current sensing.
Ignition 12 inductive ignition channels.
Timing 9 general-purpose trigger interfaces for crank, cam, turbo speed or other edge-based signals.
Lambda 2 CJ125 lambda-controller interfaces.
Auxiliary I/O 12 general-purpose outputs with selectable push/pull behaviour.
Communications CAN and UART interfaces from the STM32G474, plus a 186-pin ECU connector.

How to read the design

  1. Open the KiCad project under HW/ and identify the board revision.
  2. Read the power-entry, ground, injector, ignition, trigger and connector sheets before designing a harness.
  3. Trace each external signal to its protection and driver stage.
  4. Record supply limits, grounds, loads and connector pins in a build-specific harness document.

First power-up

  • Use a current-limited laboratory supply.
  • Keep high-energy actuator supplies isolated during logic bring-up where possible.
  • Fit appropriate fusing and an accessible emergency disconnect.
  • Use representative loads, resistive loads or dedicated driver fixtures before coils and injectors.
